L'Amour de l'art, 1950:
"Fumée by Lubin: The flame immobilized in the crystal of the bottle exhales an insinuating and woody vapor, suave and heady like the smoke of a cigarette whose fragrant company men and women love."

Bottle:

Drug and Cosmetic Industry, 1936:
"Novelty is cleverly secured in the Fumee perfume, a product of Lubin of Paris. An ordinary small bottle is used. On the surface is pasted a white label, the label being pressed down to conform with the contours on the surface of the bottle which is fluted. A metal cap, purple in color, indented to simulate the contours of the bottle, is slid over the top of the bottle and fits snugly in with the paper label on the surface. In this manner a cigarette pack is created. This metal closure also adds height to the package."

Fate of the Fragrance:

During the second world war, exports of Fumee to the United States was halted, it was resumed in 1947.

Discontinued, date unknown. Still being sold in 1958.
